Not too surprisingly G2 Esports won another tournament – this time they took home the Valorant Mandatory.GG Cup in the last weekend. The tournament itself was a huge one with 128 teams competing for the total prize pool of $15,000. Unlike most tournaments due to the high number of teams there were no group qualifiers, teams were playing Best-of-One. The top four teams were BBL Esports, Bonk, G2 Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
G2 Esports seems to dominate the Valorant scene
They went up against BBL and defeated the Brazilian team, while Bonk triumphed over NiP – this was quite a surprise as the team itself is pretty much brand new as is. Their official formation date is 3rd July, so in just a month they have achieved quite a serious thing. However, they could not hold out against G2 Esports, losing 3:0. This meant that G2 secured another Valorant victory, their 3rd one in a row – they won the Vitality European Open on 12th July and the WePlay! Invitational on the 19th. Their lineup was mixwell, paTiTek, pyth, ardiis and davidp
